Unlike its predecessor, this game's elements are more similar to that of the Butōden series and Buyū Retsuden for Super Famicom and Mega Drive respectfully. A unique feature is that each character his or her own game ending that does or doesn't fit into the series' own storyline. The game is also known for it's darker water color palette
